When this policy is applied, users only have access to the desired application, and cannot access the SpringBoard app that manages the home screen of iOS and iPadOS devices. This configuration is ideal when creating a kiosk or digital signage for your business, and for setting up dedicated conference spaces such as Zoom rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Supported versions:\n<ul>\n<li>iOS 6.0+<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>iPadOS 6.0+<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requires a Supervised device. Learn more: <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/set-up-apples-vpp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Manage Software with Apple&#8217;s VPP<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To configure a Single App Mode policy<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>DEVICE MANAGEMENT<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Policy Management<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>All<\/strong> tab, click (<strong>+<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the <strong>New Policy<\/strong> panel, select the <strong>iOS<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Single App Mode<\/strong> from the list, then click <strong>configure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the application in one of two ways:\n<ul>\n<li>From the <strong>Application<\/strong> dropdown, select the app from the app list. This list is populated from the VPP applications you have configured for your org.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the <strong>Bundle ID<\/strong> of the application. See Bundle IDs for native iPhone and iPad apps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) Select any additional <strong>Optional Settings<\/strong> to apply to the single app mode device. Note that when settings are enabled, they are not automatically turned on, but the settings to configure their functionality becomes accessible.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Disable Auto-Lock<\/strong>: Select this option to prevent the device from automatically going to sleep after an idle period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Disable Device Rotation<\/strong>: Select this option to turn off device rotation sensing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Disable Ringer Switch<\/strong>: Select this option to disable the ringer switch. When disabled, ringer behavior depends on what position the switch was in when the setting was disabled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Disable Sleep\/Wake Button<\/strong>: Select this option to disable the sleep\/wake button functionality (side button on iPhone).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Disable Touch Screen<\/strong>: Select this option to disable the touch screen functionality of the device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Disable Volume Buttons<\/strong>: Select this option to disable the volume up\/down buttons on the device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enable AssistiveTouch<\/strong>: Select this option to enable the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/111794\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AssistiveTouch<\/a> accessibility feature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enable Invert Colors<\/strong>: Select this option to enable <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/111773#:~:text=To%20use%20Invert%20Colors%2C%20open,Smart%20Invert%20or%20Classic%20Invert.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Invert Colors<\/a> (dark mode).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enable Mono Audio<\/strong>: Select this option to enable Mono Audio, where the left and right speakers play the same content.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enable Speak Selection<\/strong>: Select this option to enable Speak Selection, where the device speaks the text you select.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enable VoiceOver<\/strong>: Select this option to enable the VoiceOver accessibility feature, where the device gives audible descriptions of what\u2019s on the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enable Zoom<\/strong>: Select this option to enable the ability to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/guide\/iphone\/zoom-in-iph3e2e367e\/ios\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zoom in<\/a> or out on the device screen.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Note<\/strong>: This setting will not work if <strong>Disable Touch Screen<\/strong> is also selected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enable Voice Control<\/strong>: Select this option to enable <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/111778#:~:text=To%20turn%20Voice%20Control%20on,%2C%20turn%20on%20Voice%20Control.%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Voice Control<\/a>, where you can speak commands to the device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) Select the&nbsp;<strong>Device Groups<\/strong>&nbsp;tab. Select one or more device groups where you\u2019ll apply this policy. For device groups with multiple OS member types, the policy is applied only to the supported OS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Optional) Select the&nbsp;<strong>Devices<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.
