Only Admins with the\u00a0<strong>Administrator with Billing<\/strong>\u00a0role can delete existing Admin accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only Admins with the <strong>Administrator with Billing<\/strong> role can create new Admin accounts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While not required, we recommend having a minimum of two (2) Admin accounts that have the\u00a0<strong>Administrator with Billing<\/strong>\u00a0role assigned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When creating a new Admin, API key access will be disabled by default.\n<ul>\n<li>Only the Admin with Billing role can enable API key access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-jumpcloud-admins\">Creating JumpCloud Admins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Only Admins with the <strong>Administrator with Billing<\/strong> role can create new admin accounts.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To create an Admin account<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the top-right corner, click on your initials, then click <strong>Administrators<\/strong>. This takes you to the <strong>Settings<\/strong> page, <strong>Administrators<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click (\u00a0<strong>+<\/strong>\u00a0) to add a new Admin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the Admin&#8217;s <strong>First<\/strong>* and <strong>Last Name<\/strong>*. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter an <strong>Administrator Email Address<\/strong>*. This has to be unique.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong>Permissions<\/strong>, select a\u00a0<strong>Role<\/strong>*\u00a0for the Admin account.\u00a0See\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/admin-portal-roles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Admin Portal Roles<\/a> to learn more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card notification-card important\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/important-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><p><strong>Important:<\/strong> Carefully consider who you give access to certain roles like Administrator and Administrator with Billing.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>If you want to give the Admin API access, select the checkbox next to <strong>Enable API access<\/strong>. See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/jumpcloud-apis\">JumpCloud API&#8217;s<\/a> to learn more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong>Security<\/strong>, select<strong> Multi-factor Authentication Required<\/strong> to enforce MFA on the account. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Admin accounts created after October 2023 will have MFA enforced by default. Administrators with Billing can bulk enforce MFA for all Admins in the org with the <strong>Global MFA Requirement<\/strong> setting. See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/settings-in-admin-portal#security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Settings in the Admin Portal<\/a> to learn more.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>create<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Admin will be sent an email to the address you specify during account creation. This email contains\u00a0a link to set the initial password for your account. After they set their password, the new Admin can\u00a0log in to the Admin Portal and manage JumpCloud.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-editing-admin-accounts\">Editing Admin Accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Only users with the\u00a0<strong>Administrator with Billing\u00a0<\/strong>role can modify existing Admin accounts.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To modify existing admin accounts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the top-right corner, click your initials.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Administrators<\/strong>. This takes you to the <strong>Settings<\/strong> page, <strong>Administrators<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>details<\/strong>\u00a0for the Admin you want to modify. The\u00a0<strong>Edit Administrator panel\u00a0<\/strong>appears.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can modify settings for API access, and MFA. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After you make modifications, click&nbsp;<strong>edit<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-deleting-admin-accounts\">Deleting Admin Accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<ul>\n<li>Deleting an Admin account invalidates\u00a0API and connect keys associated with that account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Only Admins with the\u00a0<strong>Administrator with Billing<\/strong>\u00a0role can delete existing Admin accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To delete admin accounts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the top-right corner, click your initials.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Administrators<\/strong>.
