Automatically provision, update and deprovision users and groups in Figma from JumpCloud using the Identity Management (SCIM) integration. Leverage this integration to allow users to login with with one set of credentials and to centralize user lifecycle, user identity, and group management in JumpCloud for Figma. Save time and cost related to user account and password management. Avoid mistakes, as well as potential security risks, related to manually creating users and groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read this article to learn how to setup the Figma integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A Figma&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.figma.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360040328273-Choose-a-Figma-Plan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Organization or Enterprise plan<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Figma <strong>Organization Admin<\/strong> account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#configure-sso\">Single Sign On integration with Figma<\/a> must be configured before you can create an Identity Management (SCIM) integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review Figma\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.figma.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360048514653-Set-up-automatic-provisioning-via-SCIM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Set up automatic provisioning via SCIM<\/a>&nbsp;support article.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>It is not possible to assign permissions in Figma from JumpCloud. Figma will add provisioned users to your Organization as&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/help.figma.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360039970673\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">viewers<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you have SCIM set up, you can choose which of the advanced attributes you want to access in Figma.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need to decide if logging in via SAML SSO is mandatory, or if users can still login via email address and password.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/help.figma.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360052497994-Set-login-and-authentication-method\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn about Figma authentication options<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The sync will occur in real-time whenever changes are made to users and\/or groups in JumpCloud.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud cannot take over management of user accounts created directly in Figma There is currently no option for converting these users to JumpCloud SCIM managed users. &nbsp;Those accounts will need to continue to be managed manually or delete and recreated using the SCIM integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups are supported.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"attribute-considerations\"><strong>Attribute Considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A default set of attributes are managed for users. See the&nbsp;<a href=\"#attribute-mappings\">Attribute Mappings<\/a>&nbsp;section for more details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Group Management Considerations<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enabling Group Management<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>You must select the&nbsp;<strong>Enable management of User Groups and Group Membership in this application<\/strong>&nbsp;option to manage groups and group membership in the application from JumpCloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Group Provisioning and Syncing&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Empty groups are not created<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud takes over management of existing groups in the application when the user group name in JumpCloud matches the name of the group in the application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All user groups associated with the application in JumpCloud are synced. Syncing occurs whenever there is a membership or group change event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Group renaming is supported<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a user group is disassociated from the application in JumpCloud, syncing immediately stops and the group is left as-is in the application. All members of that user group are deactivated in the application unless they are associated with another active application group that is managed from JumpCloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Group Deletion<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Managed groups deleted in JumpCloud are deleted in the application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All members of the deleted group are deactivated in the application, unless they are associated with another active application group that is managed from JumpCloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Disabling Group Management<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You can disable group and group membership management by unchecking the\u00a0<strong>Enable management of User Groups and Group Membership in this application<\/strong>\u00a0option<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The managed groups and group membership are left as-is in the application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud stops sending group membership information for the user, but the user\u2019s identity will continue to be managed from JumpCloud<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\"><strong>Creating a new JumpCloud Application Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>USER AUTHENTICATION\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>+&nbsp;Add New Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the name of the application in the <strong>Search <\/strong>field and select it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Display Label<\/strong>, type your name for the application. Optionally, you can enter a <strong>Description<\/strong>, adjust the User Portal Image and choose to hide or <strong>Show in User Portal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>If this is a Bookmark Application, enter your sign-in URL in the <strong>Bookmark URL<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Optionally, expand <strong>Advanced Settings<\/strong> to specify a value for the<strong> SSO IdP URL<\/strong>. If no value is entered, it will default to <kbd>https:\/\/sso.jumpcloud.com\/saml2\/&lt;applicationname&gt;<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Warning:<\/strong> \n<p>The <strong>SSO IdP URL<\/strong> is not editable after the application is created. You will have to delete and recreate the connector if you need to edit this field at a later time.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Click <strong>Save Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If successful, click:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Configure Application<\/strong> and go to the next section <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Close<\/strong> to configure your new application at a later time <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"configure-sso\"><strong>Configuring the SSO integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud Part 1<\/strong><br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\">Create a new application<\/a>&nbsp;or select it from the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Application<\/strong>s list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>SSO <\/strong>tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the field terminating the&nbsp;<strong>IdP URL<\/strong>, either leave the default value or enter a plaintext string unique to this connector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Note the&nbsp;<strong>IdP Entity Id<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>IdP URL<\/strong>&nbsp;values. You will need these values when configuring Figma.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>activate<\/strong> then <strong>continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Download certificate<\/strong>&nbsp;from the slide out notification.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\"\/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>The certificate.pem file will download to your local Downloads folder.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure Figma<\/strong><br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\"\/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Read Figma\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.figma.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360040047774-Set-up-a-custom-SAML-configuration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Set up a custom SAML configuration<\/a>&nbsp;article before you start.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open Figma and select&nbsp;<strong>Admin settings<\/strong>&nbsp;in the sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Log in and provisioning section<\/strong>, click&nbsp;<strong>SAML SSO<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Figma will generate the information you need to complete the process with your identity provider. Find this in the&nbsp;<strong>Your configuration details are<\/strong>&nbsp;section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Identity provider<\/strong>&nbsp;section, select&nbsp;<strong>Other<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the details from your identity provider:\n<ol class=\"is-lower-alpha\">\n<li><strong>IdP Entity ID<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IdP SSO Target URL&nbsp;<\/strong>(<strong>IDP URL<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload your&nbsp;<strong>Signing certificate<\/strong> and click&nbsp;<strong>Review<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the box to confirm&nbsp;<strong>This information is correct&#8230;<\/strong>&nbsp;and click&nbsp;<strong>Configure SAML SSO<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Note the The&nbsp;<strong>SP Entity ID<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>SP ACS URL <\/strong>values. You will need these values to complete the configuration in JumpCloud.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud Part 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Access the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<strong>USER AUTHENTICATION &gt; SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find Figma in the application list on the SSO page and click anywhere in the row to reopen the application configuration panel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the SSO tab and update the&nbsp;<strong>SP Entity ID<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>ACS URL<\/strong>&nbsp;values with the values you noted in the previous section.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"authorizing-user-sso-access\"><strong>Authorizing User SSO Access<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Users are implicitly denied access to applications. After you connect an application to JumpCloud, you need to authorize user access to that application. You can authorize user access from the <strong>Application Configuration<\/strong> panel or from the <strong>Groups Configuration<\/strong> panel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To authorize user access from the Application Configuration panel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>USER AUTHENTICATION &gt; SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>, then select the application to which you want to authorize user access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>User Groups<\/strong> tab. If you need to create a new group of users, see <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/get-started-user-groups\">Get Started: User Groups<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the check box next to the group of users you want to give access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>save<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn how to authorize user access from the&nbsp;<strong>Groups Configuration<\/strong>&nbsp;panel, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/authorize-users-to-an-sso-application#user-groups-configuration-panel\">Authorize Users to an SSO Application<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"validating-sso-authentication-workflows\"><strong>Validating SSO user authentication workflow(s)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-idp-initiated-user-workflow\"><strong>IdP-initiated<\/strong> <strong>user workflow<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Access the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/userconsole#\/\">JumpCloud User Console<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Applications<\/strong> and click an application tile to launch it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JumpCloud asserts the user&#8217;s identity to the SP and is authenticated without the user having to log in to the application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sp-initiated-user-workflow\"><strong>SP-initiated<\/strong> <strong>user workflow<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Go\u00a0to the SP application login &#8211; generally, there is either a special link or an adaptive username field that detects the user is authenticated through SSO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>This varies by SP.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Login redirects the user to JumpCloud where the user enters their JumpCloud credentials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the user is logged in successfully, they are redirected\u00a0back to the SP and automatically logged in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Configuring the Identity Management Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure Figm<\/strong>a<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\"\/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>See Figma\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.figma.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/360048514653-Set-up-automatic-provisioning-via-SCIM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Set up automatic provisioning via SCIM<\/a>&nbsp;support article for the most current information.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open Figma and select&nbsp;<strong>Admin Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;in the sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Login and provisioning section<\/strong>, click&nbsp;<strong>SCIM provisioning<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Generate API token<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the&nbsp;<strong>API token<\/strong>&nbsp;value and store it in a secure location. You will need this when configuring JumpCloud.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your tenant id is needed to create the SCIM base URL. To get your tenant id, do the following:\n<ol class=\"is-lower-alpha\">\n<li>In the Login and provisioning section, click SAML SSO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copy the Tenant ID.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the tenant Id to create the SCIM base URL:&nbsp;https:\/\/www.figma.com\/scim\/v2\/[tenant]<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can choose which if any of the advanced attributes display in the&nbsp;<strong>Members&nbsp;<\/strong>tab.\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"is-lower-alpha\">\n<li>Open&nbsp;<strong>Admin settings &gt; Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Other&nbsp;<\/strong>section, click&nbsp;<strong>Member metadata<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose from Cost center, organization, division, or department.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Figma will show this data in the&nbsp;<strong>Members&nbsp;<\/strong>tab. You&#8217;ll be able to sort your member list based on this column.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure JumpCloud<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\">Create a new application<\/a>&nbsp;or select it from the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Application<\/strong>s list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Identity Management<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Enable management of User Groups and Group Membership in this application<\/strong>&nbsp;checkbox if you want to provision, manage, and sync groups in Figma from JumpCloud.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Configure<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019re presented with two fields:\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"is-lower-alpha\">\n<li><strong>*Base URL<\/strong>: Paste the Tenant URL you copied when configuring Figma&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Token Key<\/strong>: Paste the SCIM token you generated when configuring Figma.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Activate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You receive a confirmation that the Identity Management integration has been successfully verified.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can now connect user groups to the application in JumpCloud to provision and manage those users and groups in Figma.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"attribute-mappings\"><strong>Attribute Mappings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following table lists attributes that JumpCloud sends to the application.
