Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

- JumpCloud Go needs to be enabled by your admin in the Admin Portal. See Get Started: JumpCloud Go<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- A supported web browser with the appropriate JumpCloud Go extension installed:\n
- \n
- Chromium-based browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Brave) and the JumpCloud Go Chrome extension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Firefox and the JumpCloud Go Firefox extension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- If you don\u2019t see the extension installed, see Installing the Browser Extension Manually<\/a> below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- You need to be working from a JumpCloud-managed device and logged into your organizational device account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- JumpCloud Go supports the following device types that meet these hardware requirements:\n
- \n
- macOS devices with a Secure Enclave<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Windows devices with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Linux devices with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Biometrics are only supported on macOS and Windows devices. You\u2019ll need to configure biometrics on your device authenticator to use them with JumpCloud Go:\n

Considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \n
- On macOS devices, JumpCloud Go requires use of the onboard Touch ID sensor, so it does not support laptops docked with the lid closed (clamshell mode). <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- For Linux devices:\n
- \n
- Biometrics aren’t supported. You’ll need to enter your local device password to verify your identity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Only Chromium-based browsers with the Chrome extension are supported on Linux. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Registering JumpCloud Go<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The first time you use JumpCloud Go, you\u2019ll have to register your device by clicking Log in with JumpCloud Go<\/strong>. The registration flow is a traditional user portal login using your company email address and password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- In your browser, go to the JumpCloud User Portal<\/a>.\n

- If you\u2019re viewing the Administrator Portal Login, click User Portal Login<\/strong> in the top left of the page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click Log in with JumpCloud Go<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Enter your company email address and click Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- On the next screen, enter your password and click Log in<\/strong>.\n
- \n
- If your organization enforces MFA, approve the authentication request with your configured authentication method. See MFA for Users<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Your device is now registered, and you can use JumpCloud Go to access the User Portal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Using JumpCloud Go After Registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
After you\u2019ve registered JumpCloud Go, you\u2019ll have seamless and secure access to all of your JumpCloud-managed resources for 12 hours. Every 12 hours, you’ll be prompted to verify your identity using your device authenticator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you’re using a macOS or Windows device and you’ve configured for biometric authentication, you can complete user verification with these authenticators:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p><\/div>Important:<\/strong> \nClicking Log Out<\/strong> in the User Portal invalidates your JumpCloud Go token and forces you to register again with a traditional password flow. JumpCloud Go User Verification Workflows <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
When accessing a JumpCloud-managed resource where user verification is required, the login screen displays your company email and device avatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019ll verify your identity using your device authenticator (macOS and Windows) or your local device password (Linux).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Verifying Your Identity on macOS Using Touch ID<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

- Go to the JumpCloud User Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- On the Welcome back!<\/strong> screen, click Log in with JumpCloud Go<\/strong>.

Verifying Your Identity on Linux <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Installing the Browser Extension Manually <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
If you don\u2019t see the JumpCloud Go extension in the browser on your device, install it manually using the steps in the following section. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Google Chrome<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

- Go to the JumpCloud Go browser extension<\/a> in the Chrome Web Store.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click Add to Chrome<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- When prompted to Add \u201cJumpCloud Go?\u201d<\/strong>, click Add extension<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- The extension is added to Google Chrome.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
<\/p><\/div>Tip:<\/strong> \nWith the JumpCloud Go browser extension installed in Google Chrome, you can access the User Portal at any time by clicking on the Go extension button.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
To pin the JumpCloud Go extension to the toolbar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- In Google Chrome, click the Extensions<\/strong> (puzzle piece) button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- In the drop-down list of extensions, click the pin<\/strong> next to the JumpCloud Go extension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click the JumpCloud Go icon to access the User Portal at any time.

To add the JumpCloud Go extension to Microsoft Edge<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- In Edge, go to the JumpCloud Go browser extension<\/a> in the Chrome Web Store.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- In the top banner under JumpCloud Go\u2122 works on Microsoft Edge<\/strong>, click Get Extension<\/strong>.

- The extension is added to Edge and you can now use JumpCloud Go.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
Other Chromium-based Browsers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
You can also add the JumpCloud Go browser extension to other Chromium-based browsers by installing it directly from the Chrome web store<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- In the top banner under JumpCloud Go\u2122 works on Microsoft Edge<\/strong>, click Get Extension<\/strong>.
- In the drop-down list of extensions, click the pin<\/strong> next to the JumpCloud Go extension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
